[aging, housing] Rural Assistance Center Health Update
Assisted Living Conversion Program Application deadline: Jul 3, 2008 The purpose of this program is to provide grants for the conversion of some or all of the dwelling units in an eligible project into assisted living facilities (ALFs) for frail elderly persons. Section 811 Supportive Housing for Persons with Disabilities Application deadline: Jul 16, 2008 HUD provides funding to nonprofit organizations to develop rental housing with the availability of supportive services for very low-income adults with disabilities, and provides rent subsidies for the projects to help make them affordable.
