The U.S. Department of Education and the U.S. Department of the Interior are co-sponsoring a summer conference on Partnerships for Indian Education: Students-Schools-Family-Community to be held in Rapid City, SD on July 8-10, 2008. This conference is being held as an activity under E.O. 13336 on American Indian and Alaska Native education. The conference will focus on best practices and partnerships in all areas of education as well as safe and healthy communities.
